Medica 2008: ITD presents tangible ergnomic design

ITD GmbH is again presenting equipment carriers for diverse applications at this year's Medica / uni-cart is available immediately with new mechanical height adjustment and modul-port and pro-cart with power adjustment.

Visitors to the newly designed ITD stand in Hall 13 at Stand A55 can obtain extensive information on the latest developments.

modul-port for “big” and “small”

The module-port stationary carrier system has always been suitable for mounting on ceilings, walls at workstations or for use as a free-standing system on the floor. Optional powered height adjustment provides enhanced operating comfort and is a major positive feature for ergonomic application. This latest version of modul-port can therefore be adjusted to any position at the touch of a button without having to apply any force. This enables the carrier to be easily adapted to specific working conditions. Height adjustment is operated using a panel which is attached to the keyboard holder (with pull-out mousepad) to save space. The keyboard holder can be variably adjusted through a range of 300 mm from a seat height of 725 mm to a standing position with a height of 1025 mm. The keyboard and screen can be moved as a unit so that they always retain their ergonomically defined separation from each other. There is also the option of folding up the keyboard if not required. Overall, height adjustment can be carried out with a load of up to 20 kg.

This version of modul-port also offers the following technical features:

• The basic configuration of the support column has a useful height of 1920 mm.
• The power height adjustment requires an input voltage of 230 V (optional for USA and Japan 115 V) and 50 / 60 Hz.
• A 3-way EURO socket strip can be optionally integrated in the support column with a central on and off switch.
• The standard swivel and tilt monitor holder is equipped with a VESA 75 / 100 adapter and accommodates a monitor or optionally two monitors with a total weight of up to 14 kg.

 

uni-cart has a new, mechanical height adjustment with a load rating of up to 20 kg

The uni-cart equipment cart has been established in the market for many years with a long track record of mechanical height adjustment. This successful variant has now been optimized. Depending on the load rating required, loads of 4.5 to 13 kg or 12 to 20 kg are permitted. The monitor unit with VESA 75 / 100 adapter and a keyboard holder with pull-out mousepad are integrated in the support extrusion of the uni-cart and can be moved as a unit mounted on a “sled”. The unit can be fixed in place with a clamp lever mounted as an attachment. The height can be varied within an adjustment range of 300 mm.

A special, lockable laptop mount with mechanical height adjustment can also be attached to the uni-cart as an option. The laptop is fixed and protected in its casing and the mount also provides sufficient stowage space for cables or additional accessories, such as power packs or additional batteries.

pro-cart “continues to adapt”

The pro-cart equipment cart attracted a great deal of interest at the last Medica exhibition when it was presented as a mobile assistant for the first time by combining integrated power adjustment and independent power supply. ITD GmbH has now optimized this successful version of the single- column cart. The cart is also supplied without independent power supply. The height adjuster mounted on the base (overall height: 1357 mm) also has a maximum load rating of 20 kg in this version and an adjustment range of 300 mm. The monitor mounting (with VESA 75 / 100 adapter to 14 kg total monitor weight) attached as standard and the keyboard drawer with mousepad can also be adjusted as a single unit. The variable adjustment as a sitting or standing workstation is carried out by a dedicated remote control unit which is attached to an additional shelf
