History

In July 1995 "Innovation Technik Design ITD GmbH" was founded in Munich with Wolfgang Eder, Peter Simon and Gerd Rheindt as partners.
With the two-column classic cart ITD markets the first mobile instrument cart. A characteristic of this product line is a very high degree of flexibility in arrangement and equipment, as well as modularity, which has been the foundation for the complete product programme from the very beginning.
ITD participates in Medica in Düsseldorf, the world's most important medical trade fair. In 12 square metres (today ca. 70 square metres) ITD presented for the first time the "classic cart" instrument cart to the broad public, and thereby set the standard.
The first foreign sales representative is contracted in the USA, and begins marketing the current product line. In the ensuing years numerous representatives are added worldwide.
With the uni-cart instrument cart ITD GmbH develops the first one-column cart for its product line. These are laid out for smaller medical equipment; adjustable outriggers provide the basis for maximum stability in minimum space.
With the addition of Mr. Alfons Brummer, in the second half of the year the company management now has four members. Mr. Brummer leads the Marketing Department..
ITD wins certification under DIN ISO 9000 for its quality management. In short order follow CE - designation for the products, as well as a Declaration as First-Class Medical Products, under 92/43 EWG Guidelines.

The Chuo Electronics Co. LTD (CEC) in Japan becomes the first licensing partner to be granted the right of use for the products uni-cart and classic-cart, as well the compact-cart product line developed in 2003.
The newly constructed manufacturing shop in Johannskirchen in Lower Bavaria is opened. In a total of 1,200 square metres delivery of goods can be handled smoothly, and all products can be assembled and shipped. An additional 200 square metres were provided for office space.
With the compact-cart mobile instrument cart, ITD adds another two-column cart to the product line. This product is characterized by compact construction, multiple work surfaces and outstanding stability, and is available in two basic models.
ITD establishes operations in the USA with the founding in November this year of ITD Inc. in Prospect, Connecticut. Since then about seven employees have been working for the subsidiary, caring for numerous noteworthy customers in the American market.
With pro-cart a second one-column cart enters the ITD product portfolio. Features include: the unique carrying column with folding profile with soft rubber covered lips for easy connection of electrical cables, separate cable routing and accommodation of components, such as suction attachments.
The compact-cart product line, successfully established in the market, undergoes a comprehensive facelift. The compartments of the supporting frame, electrification, cable management and design are changed in response to the constantly growing market demands.

The firm ITD GmbH invests heavily in expansion of the manufacturing area at the production site in Johannskirchen. Now with 3,900 square metres, production and storage area has nearly doubled.
The firms ITD GmbH and GMT Graf Montage Technik GmbH merge on August 1, 2008, under the common name ITD GmbH. The headquarters is at the Johannskirchen site near Pfarrkirchen; the branch is in Unterhaching near Munich.
With the name "Mobile Computing Cart", the pro-cart instrument cart is available for the first time with battery powered electrical supply and electric height adjustment built into the basic frame.
The uni-cart instrument cart is now also available with new mechanical and, for the first time, electric height adjustment. The stationary carrying system modul-port can also be expanded with an electric height adjustment.
Following the relaunch of its Internet site in the middle of the year, ITD GmbH presents an expansion of the online product range at Medica trade fair: Customers and prospective customers are now able to use the newly developed product configurator to design dedicated support systems to suit their own requirements online from the comprehensive standard product range of ITD GmbH.

With the development of the "flexion-port", ITD GmbH add their own height adjustable support arms for multiple applications to their range for the first time – elegant, sturdy design and also technically tailored to an optimum for the requirements of the customers.

ITD GmbH celebrates their 15 year company anniversary. Since the start of their business activity on 15.09.1995 as newcomer to the market for mobile and stationary unit supports in medical engineering, the company from Lower Bavaria has today developed into one of the leading global suppliers for high-quality solutions in this sector.
The products from ITD GmbH distinguish themselves through high standards of quality and service. Because these standards are also systematically anchored in the complete company with a sophisticated process capability, this is indicated by the successful certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13485.
